It made me laugh. Lily said, "Why are you laughing?"
Lily is in a serious crafting phase right now. All she ever wants to do is paint, color, cut, staple and glue. Our house is overtaken by paper. Every little place you could stuff a piece of paper, there is one. It's a good life when you get a homemade card (or 2 or 3 or 4) every single day.Yesterday Lily asked me "Mom, what do you do with all the projects I make you?" The real answer is: The really precious ones go in a book, and the remaining 98% are placed strategically at the bottom of the trash can so you don't see them and say "Heyyy, what is this doing in the trash?" And then I have to fake like, "What is that doing in there?? Get it out! I don't know who would have put it in there!!"(I've learned from experience.)
I would love to keep every single one, but I don't want to end up like the hoarders on Oprah. Living in a pile of papers up to the ceiling.

that's hilarious that she was offended that you were laughing! Rylynn is soo in that phase right now too and I have heard the same frantic cries when she has found her beautiful projects in the trash. Seriously every time I throw one of her drawings away I feel guilty, but it is out of control! I'm glad I am not the only mom who throws their kids art projects away:)
okay, that's hilarious! And it literally just happened 30 minutes ago at our house. Kohen found a project in the trash but being the optimist that he is he looked right at me but said, "HEYYY, how did this fall in the trash?" That's right son, it FELL. Right out of my red hands, lol. Good luck keeping the project debris down!
Is it Project City, or Creepsville Kentucky? I mean, look at those eyes. The nose just would have offended me. But if Lilly asks, tell her I said it's perfect.
Ahhh you guys crack me up! Erin I love that it just barely happened! Jenny- I know- I guess my nose strongly resembles a butt. Totally offensive.
Jana,
Snap a digi-photo of the projects and then you can make a super easy (and cheap) book each year of her "artwork" (with like a dozen photos per page...)
She'll be able to remember them and you won't have to haul a bunch of treasure-trash forever!
Do keep the really presh ones, though
I love your nose! It looks like a cute little butt!! She is a doll
HAve you seen the show called Hoarders on A&E? You have to see it.
If you become a hoarder, caitlin can become your social worker.
